Schools outreach focuses on reaching out to students, especially primary and secondary school students. The aim is to challenge and inspire them to academic excellence, good morals and godly lifestyle through our personal experiences and stories. This is also an annual event that dates back to 1990s and happens every June. We visit all secondary schools within Okposi during the outreach period to give moral instructions, talks on academic excellence and evils of social vices. Quiz competitions are organized among the schools and book prizes/donations are presented to all participating schools and students. In the 2018 edition, over 3,000 books were presented to schools and students. Scholarships were also awarded to 7 deserving students in 2018 while it was adopted that scholarship award will be part of our annual interventions going forward.

Gospel crusade was introduced as part of our annual events starting from 2017. It holds at same period as the medical outreach. While the medical outreach happens in the day time, the gospel crusade holds in the evening. The crusades have seen hundreds of souls being won to the kingdom of God. It has seen cultists denouncing cultism and embracing the ways of God. There also abound testimonies of deliverances, healings and diverse kinds of miracles that God has wrought during the gospel crusades.

The plan is to sustain above programs while we look for opportunities to extend God’s goodness into other areas of need in our society.

As a body of believers, we draw our strength from God through prayers. We therefore have as part of our annual program, a prayer summit which holds every June. It is a time we travel home from all over the cities where our members reside with sole aim of seeking God in prayers over our land and sundry issues. We also use it as a time to review and pray for our programs. Besides the annual prayer summit, we have a day set aside every month for fasting and prayer for the group.

From 2018, Football competition among all villages making up Okposi was introduced. It was born out of the need to reach out and engage the youth. It is our way of sustaining unity, love and peace of our community as well as engaging the youths in a responsible and sustainable way thereby reducing crime in society. The first edition started on 15^th December 2018 and culminated with the final day of the Medical Outreach on 28^th December, 2018.

All 12 football teams participating in the tournament were kitted and fully sponsored by OCGUF. Trophy, medals and cash prizes were presented to winners at team and individual levels. This is planned to be an annual event going forward.

OCGUF Medical outreach has remained part of our annual events, starting from 2007.  From 2007 to 2016, it held as a 1-day event on the 26^th of December with different villages as locations. Free medical services were rendered to thousands of patients, especially the poor and underprivileged.

On the 10^th edition in 2017, it was expanded to a 3-day event, the scope was also expanded to cover the entire Okposi land by using a central location (The government field). The services were also extended to include specialities like surgeries (minor and major), Dental and Eye services.

The 2018 outreach followed the same pattern with over 2,000 patients receiving free medical services. 21 free surgeries were successfully carried out while 400 eye glasses were made available for patients. The plan is to improve and expand the established trend.
